Easton Community Access Television, ECAT, or EastonCAT is a 501c3 non profit organization that administers the community access cable in Easton, Massachusetts. ECAT was formed in 2009 through an agreement between Comcast, Verizon and the Town of Easton. ECAT currently administers three channels: Community channel 9 on Comcast and 22 on Verizon; Government channel 98 on Comcast and 23 on Verizon; and our Educational channel 97 on Comcast and 24 on Verizon.
ECAT features a variety of local programming that is produced by residents, groups and municipal agencies in Easton. Residents may request that a program produced independently of ECAT be aired on the channel.
ECAT also provides the equipment and training needed to create TV programming. We have a fully functional TV studio, a radio/webcasting studio, two post production editing suites and a selection of video cameras, tripods, microphones, lighting and other accessories for productions out in the field. We conduct 1-to-1 and group workshops in TV studio production, video editing and camera techniques.
We are always looking for new ideas and have plenty of opportunities to get involved with a great organization. Whether you are looking to sharpen your skills, build your resume, or just try something different, Easton Community Access Television wants to hear from you.
