ECR Racing

ECR Racing, currently the only Smyrna Delaware based NASCAR racing team started back in 1995 when driver Ernie Carlisle began his racing career at age 3. Starting in go karts, we won our first championship in 2003 at Sandy Hook Speedway in the Junior Sportsman 1 class. Shortly after that we proceeded to compete in WKA (World Karting Association) Nationals and Divisional's before moving up to micro sprint cars in 2007. In our first year running micros at Airport Speedway, we won our second championship in the 250cc Junior class. In 2009 we poked our heads into the world of NASCAR as we began running the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Series at Old Dominion Speedway. Our goal for the 2013 season is to complete a full season at ODS and compete for a championship and compete in The K&N Pro Series at Dover International Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway. Our current members are Rob Pagano (pit crew/ shop), Thomas Gaylord (Shop/ Tech), Robert Dougherty (Tech), Ernie Carlisle Sr "Pop" (part car owner), Ernie Carlisle Jr. (part car owner/ crew chief), Ernie Carlisle III (part car owner/ driver)
