This is a Facebook page for the history and enjoyment of the Edelweiss Ski Area. It operated from the 1940's till 1963. It had a few ropetows, and a double chairlift. It was located at Camp Sacramento a few miles from Sierra At Tahoe. Originally called the Strawberry Ski Hut, it became a very popular ski area with the only chairlift constructed on HWY 50. By 1950, Lutz Aynedter was chief ski instructor.
