The original Edendale Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library started in rented facilities in 1915. It moved into its own new building in 1923 at 2030 Glendale Blvd. at a cost of $11,605. That branch was closed sometime in the late 50’s or early 60’s. The new 12,500 sq. ft. Edendale Branch opened on Sept. 13, 2004 at 2011 W. Sunset Blvd. funded by the 1998 Library Bond.
Edendale has programs aimed at all segments of our service public. We provide Children’s, Young Adult, and Adult programs including introductory computer classes. We also serve the schools in our service area.
