This includes the development of evidence-based treatment tactics, an initiative for better health across communities, and the delivery of services that will positively impact our patients.

Edgewater offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient treatment modalities in the behavioral health field including individual, family and youth counseling; addiction and dependency treatment; crisis management; and emergency services. We provide supported independent, semi-independent and community-based residential placement in the Gary area, with a focus on the chronically homeless, mentally ill consumer. Edgewater also offers a full range of primary care services that includes: Family Medicine; Internal Medicine; Women’s Health; Sick Visits; Physical Exams; Disease Screening; and Laboratory Work. Edgewater also has a full-service on-site pharmacy.

Edgewater maintains quality assurance of our various programs and services through the process of supervision, monitoring, evaluation, and compliance with the requirements of accreditation and certification. Edgewater follows a system of continuous quality improvement. This is accomplished by setting forth a set of performance criteria, measuring performance against these criteria, and taking appropriate and timely corrective action based on measurement results. Edgewater uses a Continuous Quality Improvement Team to review indicators of performance from all departments and recommend improvements in the quality of programs.
