What is the EFD?
The Educational Foundation of Dexter (EFD) is a 501C organization that works to fund educational grants submitted by Dexter Community Schools staff that support events and programs that are not otherwise funded by the district.
The EFD is a volunteer board with members who are parents, teachers, and community members who have agreed to offer their time and energy for this purpose.
What do we do?
Although our primary goal is to fund educational grants submitted by Dexter Community School staff, the majority of our efforts are dedicated to raising those funds used to support the grant applications received.
How do we fund grants?
We have several different ways to raise money to support the grants we approve:
Charity Events
Corporate Sponsorships
Donations from Individuals
Why is the EFD important to Dexter Schools?
As our district – like so many across the country – faces budget cuts, organizations like the Educational
Foundation of Dexter must support valuable and innovative programs that would not otherwise be funded so that our students receive the best education possible.
