We believe in:

1. Community: We are all strengthened through our ties to one another. Knowing and depending on our neighbors fosters a sense of fellowship, security, and commonwealth. By creating meaningful relationships and economic partnerships with one another, we are actively shaping and supporting the world around us.

2. Creating: A sense of place. Our lives are enriched when we seek to understand and interact with our surrounding. Putting faces and places with the resources that we consume, such as our food, intimately connects us to the people and the land that we depend on.

3. Conserving: We feel a moral obligation to future generations, and to all species that we share the planet with, to minimize our consumption of resources and contributions to the degradation of our natural systems.

4. Celebrating: Life is the greatest gift of all! We should seek to make it a joyful and mindful experience! We view each task in working the land as a deliberate celebration of what makes us human – our ability to recognize the world around us, interact with it, and care for it. Local food systems help us all to celebrate and honor the life and land around us.
