More about Elevate Gymnastics & Fitness

Rodney Gust and Adrianne Perry were married June 29th, 2013 and are the new owners and head coaches of Elevate Gymnastics & Fitness

Elevate Gymnastics & Fitness is a 9,000 square foot facility, well-suited for all levels of gymnastics, preschool, birthday parties, and fitness for all ages!

At Elevate it is our passion to inspire greatness and encourage people to do more of what makes them happy.

Adrianne Perry, a native of Columbia, Mo, started gymnastics at just two years old and continued for 20 years. Through many years of hard work and dedication to the sport, Adrianne earned a full athletic scholarship to attend the University of Missouri. From 2006 – 2009, Adrianne became one of the most decorated gymnasts in Missouri history which include becoming a four-time NCAA Championship qualifier and a two-time All-American on the floor exercise and all-around. Adrianne still stands as the ONLY Mizzou gymnast to qualify for Nationals all four years and earn All-America accolades in the all-around after placing 16th in 2009 with a score of 39.350.

At the conference level, Adrianne won the 2008 Big 12 all-around title and the 2008 and 2009 Big 12 floor titles. She was named the 2006 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year after a breakout freshman season and tallied 10 combined Big 12 regular season and championship team honors over the course of her Tiger career. Over her four years, Adrianne accumulated over 70 combined event and all-around titles and was a two-time Big 12 Gymnast of the Week. Additionally, she was a three-time Academic All-Big 12 selection.

Adrianne graduated from Missouri in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in textiles and apparel management and a minor in business.

Since graduation it has been her dream to have her own gymnastics and fitness business where she and her now husband could be head coaches. Adrianne has coached gymnastics part-time throughout her high school and college years and has been a full-time professional coach for the last three. She has always had an evident love for doing the sport of gymnastics but since hanging up her competition leotard, realized that her true passion is in fact coaching and mentoring people to achieve all their gymnastic and fitness goals.

Adrianne is also a choreographer and has done several routines for athletes within the Midwest Region and for the Mizzou Gymnastics team.

Along with starting and operating Elevate Gymnastics and Fitness, Adrianne has also joined the Mizzou gymnastics coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

FUN FACT: Adrianne has a skill named after her on the balance beam called the “Perry.” It is an aerial cartwheel with a ¼ twist.

Rodney Gust has more than 20 years of coaching experience, 16 years at the club level and four at the college level. At club level, Gust assisted a gymnast who won gold at the world championships; assisted in getting two gymnasts three silver medals at the Olympics, coached junior olympic level 10 champions AA, event champions and many state champions.

At the college level, Gust coached for two seasons at Yale, two seasons at the University of Illinois, and coached three of the four gymnasts at the University of Missouri who earned All-American accolades.
