The Elite Restaurant opened for business in February 1947 at it's current location, 141 East Capitol Street by Pete and Jimmy Zouboukos.
The restaurant looked much the same until 1974 when a devastating fire destroyed the interior of the restaurant in 1974. The interior was rebuilt and remains the same today. The building as far as it can be determined is late 1800's at best estimate of age.
We are known for Southern homecooked meals using only fresh ingredients and tried and proven recipes. Our fish is fresh daily and those famous yeast rolls are prepared continuousley thru-out the day. Our dishes are prepared to order not to hold. We have served the families in the Metro area for at least 4 to 5 generations.
