Elizabeth Turner Law Office

My name is Elizabeth Turner (formerly Schurman) and I was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri. I moved to Virginia after college, and just recently returned to the Joplin area to practice law.

I attended Missouri Southern State University in the Honors Program and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I attended Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, VA and I have been a licensed Virginia attorney for 5 years. I was a prosecutor in Virginia, where I handled almost every type of criminal case, including murders, sexual assaults, weapons offenses and drug and gang crimes.

I also was chosen to instruct on Criminal law, Civil Liability for Law Enforcement, Search and Seizure and other 4th Amendment issues, and Law Enforcement In-Service Training at Crater Criminal Justice Training Academy in Petersburg, VA.

With extensive experience in criminal law, I assist clients in the Joplin and surrounding areas with DWI and traffic cases, felony criminal charges at the municipal, state and federal level, and any other criminal violations or charges. I also assist in other areas of law as needed, including estate planning, family law and adoption, insurance law, and general practice matters.
