Photography has been a hobby since I was a young child. I had a Brownie camera, and it was with me for years. Later, I worked as a photographic technician in college, developing photographs at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science. I carry a camera or two with me at all times because there is always something interesting to photograph.
Painting and art has been a fascination for me as long as I can remember. I took private art lessons for several years in elementary and high school. I continued to paint in college, although much less frequently. Life and career intervened, and I gave up painting until 2016. I have begun to paint in oils again, and especially like painting horses, dogs, marshes, and boats. I use my photographs as reference for my paintings.
