Elk County Amateur Radio Association

The Elk County Amateur Radio Association, ECARA, is a group of amateur radio enthusiasts based in Ridgway Pennsylvania area who meet and engage in activities to further the advancement of this hobby for the good of ourselves and the community. Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the need for the internet, phone line or cell phone.
