Emerge: Counseling and Education to Stop Domestic Violence

Emerge provides group educational sessions for perpetrators of harmful behavior in relationships. This includes, but is not limited to, physical assault, intimidation, verbal abuse, controlling and alienating behavior, and other actions that may harm or destroy intimate relationships.

Emerge also conducts Caring Dad groups and Anger Management sessions for general (non-intimate partner) violence. Emerge provides services in English and Spanish.

Emerge conducts an Introductory Training in the Boston area three times per year, and an Advanced Group Skills training twice per year. Emerge has conducted trainings to teach methods of intervention for abusive behavior in over 44 states and 22 countries. When conducting an event outside of Massachusetts, Emerge is able to tailor a training to suit a specific agency’s needs.
