More about Emerson Center for Arts and Culture

Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture is a 501C-3 non-profit organization and relies on the time, energy and enthusiasm donated by its board of directors and community volunteers.

The Emerson houses three exhibit spaces. The Jessie Wilber Gallery serves as Bozeman’s premiere space for contemporary art from emerging and established regional and nationally recognized professional visual artists. Approximately five shows are scheduled each year and are the basis for the Spring and Fall Schools in the Gallery program. This program brings up to 1,200 students to the Emerson each year. Education programs for kids, teens and adults are offered all year in the Francis Senska Pottery Studio and in the Emerson’s Room 219.

The Emerson currently houses 59 tenants that are arts and/or non-profit related. On the main floor is the Emerson Galleria consisting of six retail stores, galleries and a restaurant. The Emerson offers public space in the Crawford Theater, Ballroom, and Weaver Room. These spaces hold events such as concerts, films, weddings, private dinners, artists talks, and much more.

Annually the Emerson sponsors events such as the Lunch on the Lawn, Garden & Home Tour, Celebration of the Arts, Holloween Party, Bingo in the Ballroom, Christmas Stroll poster and events, Holiday Bazaar, Soup N’ Bowl pottery fundraiser, and new this year is the art21 documentary series in May.
