Hello all. I’m sure you’ve already guessed but that girl would be me, Cara. I love using my imagination to come up with fun and unique adornments for others to enjoy. With a romantically rebellious spirit inspired by my late grandmother I strive to craft pieces that you will cherish as much as I do my memory of her. As young girls, my sister and I would often go to her house, where merely stepping through the threshold felt like the beginning of an adventure! In her room were boxes upon boxes full of different treasures! Charms, trinkets, coins, marbles, crystals, rocks, shark teeth! You name it, Grandma Betty had it! Conventional was never her style, nor has it ever been mine. Like her, I possess a deep appreciation for things of true substance and character. It is the combination of this appreciation and my intense adoration of fairytales that you will see demonstrated in my work. As you explore my shop I hope you, too, come to believe, that no matter our age, we can all learn a lot from fairytales. As G.K. Chesterton once mused, “Fairytales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” Though it may sound hokey or naïve to some, I genuinely believe in what he was saying. It is our faith, our fire, our willingness to fight for what we want most and know to be right that defines us! We must always follow our dreams and refuse to give up, because that’s how you turn reveries into reality!
