Encounter Worship Center exists to help anyone who desires to have a life changing encounter with God!

We help people discover the truth of Gods word and walk with you as you find God, learn to enjoy His presence and move forward to become a Disciple of Jesus Christ! Just ONE encounter with God can and will change your life forever!

Encounter Ministries offers Biblical preaching and teaching, free Christian counseling, community outreaches and special events designed to enhance your spiritual walk with Jesus.

We are currently planning a Free christian counseling center in North Mississippi, and a new Non-denominational church plant in this area!

Pastor Scott Mayhorn has a B.A. in Biblical studies, and Pastor Raven Mayhorn has a Masters in Christian Counseling. They planted The Way Church on the Mississippi Gulf Coast after hurricane katrina and pastored there for 8 years. They have also planted and facilitated 4 Celebrate Recovery/ Addictions programs, Facilitated a branch of the International College of Ministry as well as numerous other ministries and community involvements. Pastor Scott also served on the Board of a Foster child group home and authored a monthly article in a Gulf Coast newspaper. Pastor Scott also preached revival services at local churches as requested.
