Entrepreneurship Dallas

A former small business owner, I spent 10 years as a Navis Pack & Ship franchisee, operating four shipping and logistics businesses in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Kansas City. The Dallas franchise, which I started from scratch in 2005, was the first Navis in the U.S. to break $1M in single-unit annual sales. I won Navis Franchisee of the Year in 2007 and 2011, and represented the brand at the 2012 International Franchise Association Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C. After selling my business in summer 2014, I accepted a full-time faculty position at Richland College in Dallas (having taught as an adjunct for Texas A&M University-Commerce since 2009). My current and past courses include Entrepreneurial Strategy, Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Business Foundations, Management & Organizational Behavior, Marketing Management, Business Law, and Personal Finance. My degrees include an MBA, MA, and BJ in Advertising, and I am a doctoral candidate at TAMUC. Pulling from the school-of-hard-knocks experience I gained owning Navis, as well as my wife's salon business - ChantillyCreative.com (which I currently co-own), I enjoy helping prospective entrepreneurs get their ideas off the ground. From serving as a new business startup coach, to providing strategic marketing, sales, and operational consulting, I truly enjoy helping prospective entrepreneurs achieve the goal of owning their own business.
