Numerous studies have found that the use of BABY POWDER (Talc based products) can increase the risk of ovarian cancer by roughly 30 percent. Recently, a 2013 study published in Cancer Prevention Research suggests that the use of talcum powder in the genital area by women leads to a higher risk of developing ovarian cancer. In that particular study, the data on 2,000 women showed that those who use talc body powder in their genital areas may have a 20-30 percent higher risk of developing ovarian cancer than women who do not use talc powder.

Baby powder can travel to the ovaries and become trapped in the ovarian tissue. This can cause inflammation which over time may lead to the growth of cancerous tumors.
