Equilibrium Hoofcare & Blacksmithing

My name is Peter Buckbee. I'm a farrier located in Columbia County, NY. I called my business Equilibrium Hoofcare because I think one of the most important things in maintaining and correcting horses hooves is balance of the foot. Another reason for the name is because I try to find the 'equilibrium' between conventional and alternative approaches to hoofcare. I am trained by a master farrier to apply shoes but have explored other means of protection as well such as boots, glue-on shoes, and casting, and leave many of my horses barefoot. Oh, I also do hand-forged ironwork on the side.
