Greetings Queens and Kings!

My name is Dominique, a.k.a Miss D, Your Favorite Esthetician. Esthetics has been my passion for most of my life, and I have been blessed to do what I love as a career. I am a single mother and also a student studying Kinesiology, with hopes to couple my degree with my love for esthetics and offer full body wellness eventually. I am a Bay Area native; born in San Francisco and grew up in Oakland. I recently decided to go into business for myself so that I am more available for my young Queen, who is one of my greatest supporters. I studied for my Esthetics license at Avalon in Alameda California, formally known as Alameda Beauty College, in 2014. I received my Esthetics License in April of 2015, and passed both the written and practical exam the first time. I got my start at European Wax Center, Massage Envy and also another location in Walnut Creek. After working all 3 jobs, at the same time 7 days straight, for a little over 3 months, I decided that I needed to really take a breather and decide what I wanted to do with my professional license. So I invested my time, money, sweat, tears, etc. and started on the path to become my own boss!

I came up with the name Esthetics Queendom because I wanted everyone who entered my establishment and received services, to feel as though they were a Queen or King in their own right; and at an affordable price too! I believe we are all royalty, and should walk, talk and act accordingly. I also believe in bringing out the natural beauty in people. For me, I can do that by doing what I love most…Esthetics!! My love for Esthetics all started at the age of 13 with a bottle of Vitamin E (450 i.u., I think it was), that I put on my face and from there it was history! I’m always encouraging everyone to put some food on their face, whether it be an avocado and oatmeal mask or rubbing lemon and honey on the face, in addition to sticking to a great skincare regimen. Of course great skin also comes from within, so taking care of your body is also important; so you will hear me ask about your water consumption, sleeping and eating habits, etc. constantly! (there’s that Kinesiology thinking) I have received certification for eyelash extensions and sugaring, so that I am able to offer proficient services for the Kings and Queens that enter the Esthetics Queendom.

Services that I will be offering in the near future are threading and facials, so be sure to look out for my announcement on when these services will be available to reserve! I get excited to see the glow on a Queen or Kings face after a waxing, sugaring or eyelash extension service; so it will be my pleasure to serve you! I always say, “If your Esthetician doesn’t admire you after your service, even if it’s your Brazilian…leave her for me!”. Well, that’s all I have for now, I look forward to seeing your lovely faces in the Queendom, Queens and Kings!
