Evangel Christian Academy

Emphasis is placed on learning about God and the truths of God's Word in relationship to the student's world, recognizing that the only way to God comes through personal faith in Jesus Christ and the Christian maturity comes by application of the truths of the BIble in all areas of life.

Evangel Christian Academy is a private, coeducational kindergarten to 12th grade Christian school located on two campuses in Shreveport, Louisiana. Rodney and Frances Duron, parents of the current chancellor Denny Duron, founded the school in 1980 as a kindergarten to eighth grade school in West Shreveport. The high school was added in 1989. Evangel has grown from 21 graduating seniors in 1990 to over 100 seniors in 2010. The school currently has approximately 765 students.
