Fabulous Feet Academy of Ballet

Fabulous Feet Academy of Ballet offers a program rich with opportunity for every student to reach their full potential. With master classes, auditions, community events, collaborations with other dancers and full Ballet Productions; students receive not only quality instruction, but are immersed in the full ballet experience. Students will learn classic variations, and how to present their work with artistry while maintaining strong technique. The Fabulous Feet Academy of Ballet takes a holistic approach with our classes and syllabus, ensuring a healthy development of the mind, body and soul. Our program provides enrichment for both recreational dancers and students aspiring to dance professionally.

FFAB classes are not based on level, but on skills required to progress through a high level of ballet training. Fundamentals such as postural alignment, weight placement and turn out are the beginning stages of a dancer’s development. Once these are achieved, dancers learn how to work through their limbs, and begin transferring their weight into steps and movement. Tempo, agility and muscle control become intermediate steps and turns. As skill and technique progress, the dancers are able to safely execute more advanced steps. For proper class placement, all students require assessment by Ballet Director.

*Please be aware that students progress at different paces. Each child has a natural pace of growth. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ pace. It takes time and repetition to build muscle memory, and can often take more than one year in a class for the muscle memory to set in. Have faith and know training your child safely is on the forefront of their instructor’s mind. Ballet training is slow, tedious and repetitive. This is why all other forms of dance are built upon a ballet foundation. “Train the body, so the heart can move it as desired.”

STRUCTURE BALLET COMPANY

Structure Ballet Company is a Pre-Professional Performance Division of FFAB open to ages 8 and up by audition only. It is for serious dancers aiming for placement within the professional dance world of ballet. It includes vigorous technical training with a personalized career plan. Professional careers in dance and ballet require consistent quality instruction starting at an early age. Students will not only receive special performance opportunities and high level technical training, but additional performance coaching, and assistance navigating the dance world beyond student level education.

*Structure Ballet Company is for serious ballet dancers interested in pursuing a
professional career. Placement and personal schedule will be set by audition.
