Mentoring With a Purpose

Strong and effective mentoring networks are among the most important components of a student’s academic and professional
success. The Faculty-Student Mentoring Initiative is a new student-to-faculty mentoring program created by the Mentoring Services &
Leadership Development office within the Office of Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs (OVPDEMA). The program
is primarily focused on undergraduate retention and timely degree completion, as well as helping to ensure students have the resources
and contacts they need for a successful college experience.
