Fade to Light: A Multidimensional Fashion Event

Twice a year in February and August, The Crystal Ballroom plays host to a dynamic fashion show where each designer is encouraged to think outside the box regarding their runway presentation. Fade to Light aims to not just be a fashion show, but to be an experience that leaves the viewer with a solid understanding of each designer and the collections being shown. The first Fade to Light occurred in 2012 and was conceived by Elizabeth Mollo, whom heads the show twice a year as the executive producer. Fade to Light routinely showcases the work of both established and emerging designers within the Portland fashion community, including Project Runway winners and alums and graduates from The Art Institute of Portland and Portland Fashion Institute's Fashion Forward Program.

In Regard to Designers: If you are interested in participating in Fade to Light as a designer please email us at contact@fadetolight.net and provide information about your company, photos of your most recent work, and a website address.

​All models have been booked for the August 2017 show.

​In Regard to Models: We do not hold open calls and primarily hold castings through Option Model and Media Management, but we do book models from other agencies. If you are interested in auditioning to be a model for Fade to Light please email us at contact@fadetolight.net and provide recent photos and current measurements. Only models that fit best with our designer needs will be contacted.

In Regard to Photography: We hire OSI Photography to cover both the runway and behind the scenes of the show. We do not grant access to any other photographers unless they are with a major publication. All press inquiries can be directed to rsvpfadetolight@gmail.com.
