FADIA International

FADIA International is a Pittsburgh based organization that provides transitional housing and supportive services to veterans and immigrants. We provide the following services:

• Case Management
• Wellness & Healthy Living
• Employment & Education Support
• Crisis Intervention
• English as a Second Language (ESL)
• Conflict Resolution

Our community based, transitional housing program primarily works with veterans and immigrants. Our mission is to promote the development and provision of supportive housing and/or community services with the goal of empowering veterans and immigrants to achieve stability and independence. FADIA Supportive Housing Program has alternative living arrangements for individuals who, because of various circumstances, need support and access to other services to transition to independent living.

We are equipped to provide case management, daily living skills training, permanent housing referrals, on-site weekly 12-step meetings and conflict resolution if needed. FADIA also offers English as a Second Language (ELS) tutoring for those who wish to speak fluent English. Social services provided at FADIA transitional housing facilities vary from job and vocational training to domestic violence assistance and crisis intervention.

FADIA Rooming House/Boarding House Program is a monitored building where renters occupy single rooms and share kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas. Rooming houses are low cost transitional housing.

A staff office is located on the premises and operates during normal business hours. Local amenities include public transportation, library, banks, shopping centers, dentists, churches, community center, restaurants, Farmers Market, Resolve Crisis Network and a reasonably priced fitness center.

FADIA International hosts an annual fundraiser to provide funding for educational travel abroad for American students. Our host country for 2017 is Nigeria. We are currently interviewing for our travel abroad program.
