Faith Family Medicine Clinic

Over the last decade I have been practicing medicine, I have become increasingly frustrated with the ever-mounting loss of control both my patients and I have in making decisions regarding their general health and well-being. This control is slowly being taken away by insurance companies, governmental agencies and hospital/clinic administrators who are all more worried about the financial bottom line than about patient well being. I, for one, often wish for a simpler time when healthcare decisions were solely made by a patient and his/her physician.

While we may not be able to turn back the clock and return to a time when compassion was the rule and not the exception, I believe there is a better way to practice medicine and in doing so, will take back some of the control that has been lost to us all.

Faith Family Medicine Clinic is a direct-pay clinic. Payment is expected at the time that services are rendered. We do not take insurance. That's right...NO INSURANCE. We will see anyone and everyone regardless of insurance status. The prices are the same for everyone (see link above for price list). If you have insurance, you can file the claim yourself and be reimbursed. In doing this we will be able to keep our prices very low and you may find it is cheaper than it would be even with your insurance.

Why would anyone choose to do this you may ask? Again, it's about control and who has it. I think we should have it...you and I. How long has it been since you have been actually able to talk to your doctor on the phone about a concern or had more than 4-5 minutes of his/her time at the office after waiting 45 minutes to an hour to be seen? At Faith Family Medicine Clinic, we have longer appointment slots for regular visits and same day appointments for sick visits. We are not trying to see 30-40 patients a day which unfortunately has become the norm in the area so I have more time to spend talking with my patients.
