This page is about helping our neighbors in need. We offer a free community meal program in south Everett, WA. The meal is now held every Tuesday 5-6 pm. A clothing and food bank is now open Thursday - Saturday noon -2 pm. We will offer some other services which we hope will help to get people back to work. Also we will help people fill out applications for all their needs: social security, dshs, jobs, etc. In Jan 2014 Faith Lutheran Church decided to focus on its very small free community meal as a way to meet its neighbors and have fighting hunger as a major mission. In March 2015 FLC signed an agreement with Food LifeLine's Grocery Rescue program. This allows the organizers of the meal to gather :rescued" food (ingredients) from one QFC store and one Fred Meyer store. Doing this has improved the availability of fruits, vegetables, and meat for making the free meals. Most meals currently feed 60 people with special holiday meals serving up to 100 people. With many meal programs closing, FLC's meal is growing all the time. Our list of volunteers also grows weekly. In October 2015 we opened a clothing and food bank open 3 days a week.
