WHY CHOOSE ME?

I run a 24 hour 7 days a week schedule. I have economical rates and it is a home based daycare, so it has the family setting that daycare centers lack in my opinion. I have been working in the daycare field for the past 8 years as well as having the typical babysitting jobs for friends and family since I was in high school.

I currently have 14 children that I watch at different times each week. There are times that I have more than 6 children at a time, but I do have other adult help from my family on those days.

TRAINING:

I am first aid/CPR trained. I have also been trained in child abuse prevention, communicable disease and health & safety for child care. I am currently working on my CDA through CareCourses.com. I have already completed The Art of Child Care and am currently working on the next course. It's a work at your pace course, so I work on it when I don't have any children in my care.


HOW WE SPEND OUR DAYS:
The days are as different as the kids in my care. One day we might go on a backyard safari and the next day have inside bowling. I do educational activities, arts and crafts, and lots of free play time to be kids with imagination. We don't watch tv throughout the day unless it's a planned movie fest. We do individual play time at centers as well. It really depends on the moods of the kids on what we do each day. There are days that all they want to do it craft and there are days all they want to do is play. Summer time we take trips to the pool as well as the park. We try to have as much outside time as we can when the weather is nice enough, from taking walks to just running around the backyard and being silly. Don't be surprised when you see me dancing and being silly right along with the kiddos.

WHAT SETS ME APART FROM OTHER DAYCARE PROVIDERS?

I encourage parents to just drop by in the middle of the day unexpectedly. If you have a lunch break and it's feasible for you to stop by, please do. We celebrate birthdays, holidays and just because days. Overall it's like being with family than being at daycare.
