The name Family Memorials Inc. has been well known in the Barre memorialization industry for many generations for producing quality memorials in addition to numerous other memorial related products. The company was first established in 1938 and has 75 years of history in this city. The company is now jointly owned by Randy and Sue Walker. Both reside in South Barre along with their children Matthew and Elisabeth and their third child, and Family Memorial mascot, Eddie their energetic Springer Spaniel. More than likely you will be greeted by him when you visit us here at the shop.

We deal exclusively with a number of local manufacturers, wholesalers and importers of many memorial products. We work very closely on quality control and shipping deadlines for our customer needs. Our primary focus is adding value to etched products such as monumental grade granite, marble and landscaping items. Utilizing today’s latest technology and software we produce unique and excellent quality etched products. We offer custom Diamond Hand Etchings, Co2 Laser Etchings and our new exclusive Glass Art Laser process. The manufacturing side is personally supervised by the owner, Randy Walker. Quality and consistent reliable service has always been our main focus here at Family Memorials, which means that every single product is carefully scrutinized.

We offer top quality etched memorial products at competitive prices, making us one the world's leading suppliers in etched products producing over 2200 etched monuments per year. We currently run three CNC large format lasers with bed sizes of 12' x 4", 4' x 8' and our newest machine of 6' x 10'. The latter two have modified high powered lasers enabling them to produce our new patented and exclusive Glass Art Etching process.

We use nothing but the best in coloring systems for both conventional colored etchings and our exclusive Glass Art Laser process. Our Glass Art process is the only coloring process for granite that we are aware of that carries a long term warranty covering fading, chipping, cracking, peeling, etc. In addition to providing traditional etched images we also offer customer graphics of our own style and creativity. The possibilities are endless as our customers have the option of requesting custom designs which we create from scratch using top quality digital graphic tablets.

Our clientele base is primarily Northeastern United States due to freight costs but with the advent of the World Wide Web we are open to all possibilities of business. Although the brunt of our business has been geared towards servicing our local monument industry we have recently begun providing custom design and etching services in other business sectors. Some of our newest services include large architectural glass and mirror panel projects, customer cabinetry for both kitchens and bathrooms and custom etchings on granite and marble counter tops, including backsplash and tile. We have also etched on wooden gun stocks, wine glasses, knives, and desk name plates keeping with our great quality and detail.

We are continually improving our products and the services we provide to meet the needs of our customers throughout our service market. In return they have rewarded us with years of their loyalty. Our company was in business yesterday and will be in business tomorrow.
