More about Fast Lane Aquatics

Fast Lane Aquatics is a year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor.

All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States.

Coach Alec Rukosuev brings a unique and exciting understanding of swimming, triathlon and marathon training gained through twenty-three (23) years of experience as both a Professional Athlete and Head Coach.
As an Athlete, Coach Alec was a distance swimmer becoming the Russian National Champion in the 1500m freestyle in 1991. He then parlayed his success as a distance swimmer into becoming a Professional Triathlete for ten years. During this time he was ranked #1 in the USA in three separate years, finished 6 Ironman competitions and placed 13th in the Hawaii Ironman, the World Championship of triathlons.
Since starting his coaching career in Central Florida eleven years ago, he has produced tremendous results. As the national and international ranking of his swimmers increased, he was afforded the ability to achieve American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Certified Level 5 credentials within four years of starting his career as a Coach. This Certification is an achievement only held by 3-5% of top swim coaches in the USA .

Coach Lera Rukosuev brings to the Coaching Staff the same type of focus and determination that we have come to expect from the Rukosuev Family. Coach Lera studied to Coach Swimming at Omsk National Institute of Physical Coulter in Russia. She graduated with a degree in Swim Coaching. As part of her studies she had to master the theory and technique of the Sport of Swimming.
As a swimmer, Lera won many Russian National Championships. In addition, she won and placed Top 3 at the USSR National Championships. Coach Lera was a member of the USSR National Swim Team, which gave her experience with World Class Athletes and Coaches throughout the World.

Coach Lera’s mission is to perfect technique and give the younger swimmers a foundation for future success.
