FBCD Worship Ministries

The Worship Ministries at the FBCD are made of up of several groups:

Our Adult Choir, under the direction of Minister of Music and Worship Travis L. Boyd, is made up of volunteers who love to sing and want to use their musical gifts in praise and worship. We normally rehearse once a week, on Wednesday night.

Our Orchestra is also a volunteer group of talented musicians who wish to use their gifts for God's glory and to help lead in worship. The orchestra rehearses on Sunday mornings and is directed by John Waller. For more information, contact Travis.

Our Drama Ministry works within the overall worship ministries of the church. We have many talented actors and actresses who have brought their gifts to some challenging roles in skits and in music productions.

The Golden Notes are our Senior Adult Choir. This energetic group loves to sing and worship. They meet on Wednesday afternoons from 4 to 5 p.m., with Travis Boyd as their Director.

Our Technical Team is a group of dedicated volunteers who run lights, sound, and media for worship services and special productions.

Other groups which are a part of our Worship Ministry include:

The S.W.A.T. (Student Worship Arts Team) Choir, and Youth Ensemble, which consists of students in Middle School and High School.

Children's Choirs, which are directed by several of our talented members and meet on Wednesday nights.

The Pre-School Choir, for children ages 4 and up who are either in pre-school or kindergarten. This group also met on Wednesday nights.

Our goal with all of our groups of all ages is more than just learning and presenting music. Our goal is to learn more about our Lord and what it means to walk with Him and worship him through music. Then, our goal is to share the message of the hope found in Jesus Christ through music, drama, and technical Worship Ministry.
