The First Baptist Church of Springfield was founded in 1848, since moving to our new campus on Keiffer Hill in 1996 we have adopted a motto that expresses our one simple mission: Share Hope through the Love of God.


The First Baptist Church of Springfield is a congregation of believers in Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and the only way to heaven is by trusting in Him as your Savior and Lord. We also believe that the Bible is God's written word to the people He loves so much. We in no way will discriminate class, race, origin, or age, or any other characteristic - Everyone is welcome!
