Fear Con

Fear Con returns! Last year was a smash hit as we established Fear Con as your new Halloween tradition! Fear Con is already one of the largest shows of it's kind in the country and a truly unique experience. Celebrating all things Halloween and Horror, Fear Con delivered something for everyone including an entire hall dedicated to kid's called Spooky Con!

We are working hard to make Fear Con bigger and better in every way. New experiences are being added weekly, so check back for regular updates!

Last year our theme was "Day of the Dead". The year we will be theming the show VINTAGE HORROR - The Golden Age of Hollywood movie monsters reimagined for a modern day! This theme will be a suggestion for those who want to participate in the theme, but ALL COSTUMES AND COSPLAYS are welcome. The theme is a visual style and merely a suggestion.

-Vendors and artists. We will have over 200 vendor booths and over 50 artists and makers. We will be requiring all vendors to dress up and add something to the overall experience of the show.

-Improved ambience! We will have a darker more nefarious feel to the show. Vendors will be lighting their booths as the show will be darker and creepier!

-Entertainment- We had our main stage rocking with truly amazing talent. This year we will be returning with more unique fire acts, sword swallowers, arialists, acrobats, dancers and much more!

-Roaming Entertainment- Fear Con will be a festival-like atmosphere with talent and roaming performers all throughout the show.

-Panels and workshops- You asked and we listened! We will have a entire series of panels and workshops. We can't wait to begin announcing the lineup.

-Miss Fear Con Pageant- Our Miss Fear Con girls knocked it out of the park with our take on a dark beauty pageant. All of the girls exceded our wildest expectations with their incredible cosplays and personas. The Miss Fear Con pageant will begin before the show and the coronation ceremony will be on Saturday night on the main stage.
Miss Fear Con will be awarded a $500 cash prize and custom MFC crown, $250 for 2nd, and $150 for 3rd.

-Cosplay Contest- Fear Con has some of the most intricate, creative, and unique cosplays we've ever seen. We can't wait to see what we get this year. We will have a larger cosplay competition with a larger cash prize!

-Kid's Cosplay Contest-We were also blown away with the level of talent from our kid's cosplay contest! We will have a larger, full featured kid's cosplay competition this year.

-Haunted Carnival Games- We are really upgrading our popular Haunted Carnival this year. With custom built booths and games, we aim to up the fun and the reward system with full scale prize redemption system. Get practicing throwing those dismembered limbs!

-Free Haunted Escape Rooms- We have partnered up with some of the top escape rooms in the area to included free admittance with every ticket. (These are different from the Fear Con Interactive Haunted Escape Rooms)

-Cake Wars- Last year our Cake Wars competition was a last minute addition, but was a smash hit! We will be bring this back bigger and better.

-Pumpkin Carving contest- No Halloween celebration is really complete without a good old fashion pumpkin carving contest.

-Creature Encounters-We will have all of our creepy crawly buddies back for more! See or touch live alligators, huge monitor lizards, snakes, tortoises, tarantulas, and many more!

-Filmquest Film Festival Encore-In partnership with Filmquest, we will feature an encore selection of genre films from Filmquest.

-Virtual Reality Experiences-We will work with some of our local partners to bring you cutting edge VR horror experiences!

-Board Game Demos and Magic the Gathering Tournament- We will expand on our board game area and also be offering a Magic the Gathering Tournament.
