Ferdinand Folk Fest Bicycle Tour

3rd Annual Ferdinand Folk Fest Fondo September 19 – 20, 2015 – a bicycling event centered in Ferdinand, IN featuring the best mix of scenery, smooth pavement, low traffic, and a few challenging hills. After the ride, enjoy the free concerts all afternoon/evening and browse the food, art, and environment vendor tents at the hugely popular Ferdinand Folk Festival.

Multiple ride lengths (26, 33, 50 miles) available on Saturday, a single 50 mile ride on Sunday. All rides start at 8:30 am ET, from the Tri-County YMCA (131 E. 16th St., Ferdinand, IN). Day-of registration is available starting at 7:30 am ET.

SAG stops every 9-14 miles with snacks and drinks.

Showers available after the ride (bring a towel), for riders to clean up before strolling down the sidewalk to the Folk Festival.

Proceeds from the Ferdinand Folk Fest Fondo will go to the Sisters of St. Benedict and their work with the Family Scholar House. The program seeks to provide academic advising, case management, family support, community activities, connection to other resources, peer support, and eventually, housing, for qualifying single-parent students. It predominantly serves women, often single mothers, who are unemployed or underemployed and desire additional educational and career opportunities.

There will be an opportunity to camp using tents on the Ferdinand Monastery Immaculate Conception grounds –Tent Camping is available ONLY for riders. Showers will be available to tent & gym campers.
