Fidler Pond Park is a City of Goshen park covering 100 acres, including an 80 acre pond with boat and fishing pole rentals; swinging benches to relax in and enjoy nature; a walking trail around the pond.
The Park is the location for Chiddister Pavilion, a rentable open-air pavilion; the Lincoln Highway gazebo; and the Wayne Wogoman Welcome Center. Visitor hours for the Welcome Center are Wed-Fri,10:00 am-3:30 pm. Call the Welcome Center at (574) 975-6253 for more information.
The park is also the venue for events such as Goshen's annual Rock the Quarry Triathlon, nature talks and campfire sing-alongs. Fidler Pond Park was the recipient of Indiana Park & Recreation Association's Park Development Award (Category 3) in 2013.
Open from dawn to dusk.
Fishing and fishing pole rental: 8 am - 6 pm (seasonal). Fishing is catch and release, from designated areas along the bank. See staff at the Red Barn.
Boat rentals: starting at 8 am, boats returned an hour before dusk. See staff at the Red Barn.
Rental Fees:
• Canoe, kayak and pedal boat rental fees are $10 (tax included) per hour per boat.
• Fishing pole rental (for bank fishing) is $2/2 hours.
• Lifejackets are mandatory while on Fidler Pond; if you bring your own canoe or kayak and need a lifejacket, rental is $2/2 hours
