First Baptist Church of Grand Isle

We are a small, friendly, Southern Baptist church established in 1948 here on the island of Grand Isle, LA. Because we live on the island, our congregation is a mixture of locals, tourists, transplants, and visitors from all over the place. We think the phrase "come as you are" suits us perfectly. We have some who come dressed up and some who come in shorts and a t-shirt ready for the beach right after the service. So feel free to join us no matter your clothing, however, clothing is definitely NOT optional! Lol!

Right now we have a Sunday morning worship service that begins at 10:00 AM. During the service, we have children's church for ages 5-11 and a nursery for our bed babies and toddlers.

On Wednesday's, we have a mid-week bible study time for all ages that begins at 6:00 PM dividing up our adults, children, and youth into separate classes. We consider the youth group to be from 6th-12th grade or starting at ages 11-12 years old. We hope you visit us soon so we can get to know you better and we can start growing in our faith together.
