A Place for You to Grow

First Baptist Church of Tallmadge has been a people place for over seventy years. The small group of people, that first met with founding pastor B F Cate in a vacant automobile showroom, was soon blessed by God with growth and a new church building where the church still meets near six corners in Tallmadge, Ohio.

Our vision is to be a gathering place for all people in the greater Tallmadge community. A place to come together for worship, praise and to grow spiritually. First Baptist Church offers a safe shelter from the cares of the world where one's personal faith can find help, comfort and encouragement by looking to the Refuge of our soul. All building facilities are on the ground level with easy handicap access throughout.

Our mission priority is to faithfully communicate the gospel of Christ to all who come. Agreeing with God by believing that Christ’s shed blood is the only plan of God to wash away one's sins for salvation. This is how the Bible identifies God’s children who want to know God and experience His presence in daily life. Obedience to God's Word, the Bible, is how all people, young and old, grow in their personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
