First Baptist Church Vincent

First Baptist Church Vincent meets for worship on a regular basis at the following times.

Sunday 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Our worship includes music that uplifts Christ. The Biblically oriented sermons by the pastor focus on relating the truths of the Bible to everyday living.

Bible Study

Sundays at 9:45 AM Weekly Bible study for every person in the family. These small group oriented Bible studies enable you to meet people in the context of open Bible discussion.

A Wednesday night Bible study for Adults meets in the fellowship hall at 6:00 PM.

Music

The Sanctuary Choir sings in morning worship each Sunday at 11:00 AM. They practice weekly at 4:30 PM Sundays. All persons are welcome to join the choir as they serve through worship leadership.

The Handbell Choir meets on Wednesday night 6:45 pm after Prayer Meeting.

Youth

Sundays and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM the Youth meet for Bible study in the Activities House located on our campus.

Special events give opportunity for the Youth to minister to others include serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House, storm clean-up, and mission trips.

Fellowship events that allow for fun and fellowship occur regularly. These include out to eat nights, movie nights, game times, and other activities.

Mfuge takes place every summer. The Youth travel to a college campus somewhere in the United States to join with other teens to serve individuals with needs in those communities.

Children

Weekly Sunday School at 9:45 Am on Sundays addresses the need for ongoing training for children.

Discovery Kidz meets on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM during the school year. This missions activity oriented time for K-5 through 6th grade children allows them to practice what they learn about the Lord.

Vacation Bible School in June. The church puts a great deal of resources into holding a quality Vacation Bible School for all children. It includes Bible lessons, missions education, music, recreation, crafts, and more.

Day Camp in July. Each year the church sponsors a Day Camp for school age children at the Camp at Sunshine Farm in Sterrett. The children receive quality Bible instruction and participate in multiple recreation activities such as horseback riding, swimming, boating, shooting, and more.

Trunk or Treat is a Halloween alternative provided yearly. Several hundred children pass through the FBC Vincent parking lots receiving candy, playing games, and entering contests. This event is family friendly and safe.

Playground and Park. A modern, family friendly playground enhances the campus of FBC Vincent. Playground equipment, picnic tables, and benches allow for wholesome recreation.

Weekday Preschool

The First Baptist Church Vincent Weekday Preschool has K-3 and K-4 classes. The classes are designed to engage the children in learning and fun that prepares them for their next step in education. The Preschool operates on the public school schedule.

Baptist Women and Brown Bag

The Baptist Women group meets on the third Tuesday monthly at 10:30 AM to learn about and implement missions involvement. One of their ministries is to provide Thanksgiving Baskets throughout the community to homebound persons.

Brown Bag follows the Baptist Women meeting. The ladies provide lunch for anyone who wants to attend at Noon on the third Tuesday monthly.

Outreach

On the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM church members meet to coordinate contacts with people in the community who are in need of Christ or a church home.

Men’s Breakfast

The Baptist Men’s group sponsors a breakfast on the first Sunday monthly at 7:30 AM. The hearty meal and vibrant fellowship allow men to interact with other believers.

Nursing Home

Regular visits and “goodies” are provided to nursing home and assisted living residents through this ministry.

Backpack Buddies

A volunteer team provides weekend food to select students at Vincent Middle School. This takes place on a weekly basis.

Mobile Food Pantry

The Shelby Baptist Association Mobile Food Pantry visits FBC Vincent on a quarterly basis. The church members lead the ministry when it is on our campus. The Pantry provides food for local families who are under served. Next visit in May. Contact the church in April for the date and time and to make an appointment.
