First Christian Church is both a Disciples of Christ and a United Church of Christ congregation.

[FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES]

Monthly Community Meals: Time to meet together informally for good food and fellowship.

Dinner for 8: Small dinner groups for about eight people give us the opportunity to get to know each other better through fellowship at a meal, either in someone's home or dining out.

Common Grounds Gardens: Working together to provide healthy vegetables and care for God's Earth with this gardening project on our church grounds.

Fellowship Groups: such as Serendipity for women, the Cooking Club, the Book Club, a Men's Group, our women's group called Serendipity, and the Ordinary Radicals who focus on engaged spirituality and issues of social justice all give us time together for things that matter.

El Caldito Soup Kitchen: Helping out at the soup kitchen once a week

Café Justo: Promoting "coffee with a conscience", coffee grown in Mexico, roasted, packaged and marketed locally there, by using it in our church kitchen and providing our members a way to purchase it for their own use.

Grads Program: Helping at Las Cruces High School day care and collecting supplies for the babies and toddlers.

Peace Village: Part of the Peace Camp program held in summers to give children practice in non-violent conflict resolution, learning about different cultures, and a variety of community, leadership, and cooperative activities.

Serving as hosts: We host the French Club, the Jazz and Blues Society, Howling Coyote open mike coffee house, the ABC Academy preschool, and Musical Beginnings group and private dance and music lessons.

‌International Aids Empowerment (IAP): The Las Cruces office and food pantry of IAP is housed at First Christian Church. .

Chapparal Senior Housing: Our church was instrumental in helping to build this senior housing project in partnership with Housing and Urban Development Agency.

Kaleidoscope Las Cruces: Matching the resources of our congregation with the social and environmental needs of our Las Cruces community.
