First Lutheran Church

First Lutheran has office hours from 2:30-4:30 pm, but appointments can be made with Pastor Jane McChesney or with other staff upon request.
We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a congregation of Northern Illinois Synod, and a partner in ministry in Rockford Area Lutheran Ministries and Midtown Lutheran Parish.
We have the great pleasure to be home for the Music Academy of Rockford, and to have a fine Concert Series called "Sounds in the Sanctuary" as well as the gifted musicians of the Music Academy to share their musical talents with us and our community.
We have Sunday School at 9:15 AM on Sunday mornings, September thru May, and worship at 10:30 AM with Holy Communion every worship service, as well as anointing for healing on the third Sunday of the month.
We host a community Bible Study at Katie's Cup on Tuesdays at 1:00 PM
