First Southern Methodist Church of Amite

The First Southern Methodist Church of Amite is a small church located in Amite, Louisiana. While we are small, we are full of love and invite everyone to come worship the Lord with us. Our Sundays contain Bible Study taught by Denise Howell at 9 AM. We are currently reading through a series by Ray Vanderlan. Following Bible Study is Morning Worship. Our church pastor is Deacon L. Darwin Brecheen. During Morning Worship, we sing praises hymns, have children's and youth time (where the children and youth can come to the front of the church and have a lesson with Denise), and learn God's message to us from Brother Darwin. On the First Sunday of every month, we offer communion services for everyone who is in attendance. You do not have to be a member to celebrate communion with us.

We also have a Woman's Missionary Society called Faith Circle. We hear updates about the different missionaries we support around the world we support as well as have a devotion.

If you are interested in joining our church, please come and talk with either Bro. Darwin or Church Chairman John Howell. We invite people of all ages and backgrounds to join us.
