As a community of faith in God through Jesus Christ, we celebrate Open Doors, Open Hearts and Open Minds. This simply means that you are invited to come and experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ, regardless of where you are in your life or faith journey. For more than 150 years, the people of First United Methodist Church of Milton have connected people to God and people to people, as we respond together to God’s call to be disciples of Jesus Christ in our community and throughout the world.

Combining our rich heritage with dynamic vision, we accept the challenge of our changing economy as an opportunity to identify and address the needs of Milton, Florida and surrounding communities. We endeavor to do this by carrying out the two greatest commandments of Jesus Christ: a) to love God with all our hearts, minds, and souls and b) to love our neighbor asourselves. How? We participate in authentic, engaging worship in a traditional setting, embrace intentional faith development through Bible study and other small groups, and undertake risk-taking mission and service to care for our members, as well as those beyond our walls.

First United Methodist Church is different from many churches in Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties because our members do not live in a particular community or zip code area. Many of our members pass several churches on their way to worship. We are diverse body of people who enjoy being together as we celebrate the joys of life, struggle with complex issues, and support each other during times of grief or suffering.
