For over 150 years the First United Methodist Church has been a vital part of this waterfront community. In 1865 construction began on the first Methodist church building in South Haven. Sadly in 1871 this building was destroyed in a fire. It's successor was completed in 1872 and it too burnt down in 1927. The current building was then constructed in 1930 undergoing major renovations in the mid 1990s to be handicapped-accessible. Through out this time the Methodist church of South Haven has spread the word of God to the ears of many.
First United Methodist Church of South Haven is now looking to the future. We welcome new ideas and changes for the better.
