More about First United Pentecostal Church of Fulton, MS

The Beginning
In 1976, Rev. C. L. (Clifton) and Geneva Baine had a vision of establishing a Pentecostal church in Fulton, MS. Soon the First United Pentecostal Church of Fulton, MS was started. The church was originally located in a little white house across the street from the church’s current location.
Around 1979 the house at 201 N Cummings St was purchased. After extensive remodeling it became the church. In the early 1980’s a sanctuary was added onto the side of the house as new construction and the existing building was repurposed into the fellowship hall and Sunday school rooms.
In 2003 Rev. Billy Burleson, was voted in as Pastor along with his wife Vicki. Bro. Burleson said he would only take the position as long as Bro. Baine stayed on as Senior Pastor. We are proud to still have them with us in their honored positions today.
Meet the Burleson Family.
Born and raised in the Lee county area Pastor Burleson received the Holy Ghost at Jackson Youth camp in 1981. At that time he was attending Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church in Tupelo, Mississippi under the leadership of Pastor Cecil Greenway. When his family moved to Fulton he started attending the First UPC in Fulton under the leadership of Pastor Baine. In 1984 he met and started dating Vicki Randolph whom he married three years later in 1987. They have a daughter, Britni, and a grandson, Austin.
