County day use fee park with several entrances, including Turtle Lane. Good access especially for winter steelhead anglers and trout. The Applegate River is good for wading anglers with well defined holes and runs and a gravel bottom that makes it relatively easy to fish.
Directions: I-5 N, Exit 55. Go 2.5 miles on the Grants Pass Parkway. Left onto Hwy. 238 and drive 1.5 miles south. Right onto New Hope Rd. Go 3.2 miles, turn right onto Fish Hatchery Rd. Go 1.8 miles, turn right on Wetherbee Lane and go about 0.5 miles then down the hill to the left into Fish Hatchery Park.
Please note, a day use fee of $5 is required. Alternatively an Annual Day Use Pass can be purchased for $30, good for all Josephine County Parks.
