More about Dwyer's Crab and Fish Company Restaurant

Dwyer’s Crab and Fish Company Restaurant

The Dwyer family has strong ties to Ketchikan and Alaska. Jenny Gore Dwyer was born and raised in Ketchikan. She can trace her family roots back to Captain John Gore who sailed with Captain Cook as they tried to discover the “infamous” Inside Passage. Jenny met her husband Pat on board a fishing vessel in Ketchikan in the mid 1980’s and together they started their fishing business, St. George Marine Inc.
Unfortunately, Pat was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2005. Knowing his life would be cut short, he bought the Brenna A, a vessel Pat named after his daughter Brenna, as his final project for his son Sean to run after he was gone. Pat Dwyer lived life with ALS for 8 years and passed away in 2013.
The family’s two boats the Brenna A and the Jennifer A fish crab in the Bering Sea in the winter and pack fish for a Ketchikan fish processor in the summer. The family has been involved in many aspects of the fishing industry all over the state of Alaska.
Sean and the FV Brenna A are now featured on the Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch.
Dwyer’s Crab and Fish Company Restaurant features the finest in Alaskan Seafood; King Crab, Halibut, Salmon, True Cod and Oysters.
The Dwyer family is donating their share of the profits of the restaurant to the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) in honor of Pat. For more information on ALS TDI please check it out at http://www.als.net/captainsean/
