Eliana found Zumba during a very challenging time in her life, her husband was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 24 and going through aggressive treatments. Of course her stress levels were very high, and Zumba became a type of therapy for her. She really looked forward to her Zumba classes because she could escape reality for an hour, enjoy the music and dance as if nobody was watching...She became an instructor two months before her husband passed away because she wanted to give back to people what she was receiving through her regular class attendance, peace of mind, a escape and happiness.

When Eliana teaches Zumba she thinks about what her students might be going through in their own lives and she hopes that she can transmitt the same peace that she felt, and feels when she does Zumba and provide her students with an hour of wellbeing therapy, inside and out.
