Our Beliefs

Scripture

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings.It is the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice, to which nothing can be added and from which taken away (Proverbs 30:5-6; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:16-21; Revelation 22:18-19).

The Trinity

There is one God eternally existing in three equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each has the same nature and attributes, but is distinct in office and activity (Matthew 28:19; John 14;16-17; John 16:7).

Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice. Our redemption and salvation are guaranteed by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (John 1:1-5, 14-18; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:21-26). The Lord Jesus Christ is now in heaven, exalted to the right hand of God where, as High Priest to His people, He fulfills the ministry of intercession and advocacy (Hebrews 1:1-4; 3:1-6; 7:23-25; 1 John 2:1-2).

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit convicts men concerning sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16:7-15). He dwells in all who believe in Jesus. From the moment of belief in the Son, the Spirit baptizes believers into the body, seals them for salvation, regenerates them to new life, bestows spiritual gifts on each one, and is fully present to continually guide His own. (John 14:16-17 & 25-26; Romans 8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13).

Creation And The Human Race

God created all things in heaven and earth and they exist by His power. He created man innocent and in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:15-17).

Sin

Man sinned, bringing both physical and spiritual death to himself and his posterity. Man has inherited a sinful nature, is alienated from God and needs salvation. (Genesis 3; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3).

Salvation By Faith Alone In Christ Alone

Salvation is a gift from God received through personal faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sin (John 3:16-18). Man is justified by grace through faith apart from works (Romans 4; Ephesians 2:4-10). Salvation comes from confessing with your mouth and believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-13). All true believers are kept secure in Christ forever and that no one and nothing can take us out of the hand of God (John 10:27-29).
The Physical Return Of Christ
There will be a second, visible, and bodily return of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:10-11; Hebrews 9:27-28; Titus 2:11-13).
