Fleur-De-Lis Academy of Ballet is a pre-professional ballet studio in Louisville, KY that is committed to excellent training through an innovative and balanced teaching methodology. Beginning students learn basic ballet vocabulary through childhood songs, reading the stories of the great ballets, and watching video excerpts of the professionals. Students progress through a carefully crafted syllabus that reflects age appropriate development and kindles individual creative expression. Because we believe that an education in ballet goes beyond what is taught in the studio, we also offer community classes that include ballet history, cooking, documentary showcases, nutrition, physical therapy, academic tutoring, and wellness. We are committed to the inspiring process of revealing the dancer within each student, promoting artistic expression, and upholding the technical excellence.
