Flip Side Watersports

Flip Side Watersports opened in the summer of 2014 and is Alabama's first and only cable wakeboard park. We are located just inside the rear entrance of Oak Mountain State Park on Oak Mountain Lake.

Whether you are new to wakeboarding or looking to advance your skills, we have the coaches and the features to take you to the next level.

We offer wakeboards, wakeskates, kneeboards, tubes and skis as rental options.

We also have paddleboards for rent for those that may be be looking for a little more relaxing way to spend their time!

All participants must wear a Coastguard Approved Life Vest and a helmet while on the cable (Comp Vests are NOT permitted). You are allowed to bring any of your own gear however, ALL lifevests must have a USCGA stamp and ALL boards must have removable center fins.

Be aware that most board brands that are typically used behind a boat contain molded fins that can be damaged if used on any of the features at Flip Side. If you just plan to ride and tread the water, then a boat board will be fine.

If you do not know whether or not your gear will be approved, please ask ahead of time or you will not be permitted to ride with your gear!

We are currently closed for the season, but planning to reopen for the weekends beginning April 1st. We will open 7 days a week beginning Memorial Day.

If you are trying to plan a trip and need a place to stay, try the campground across the lake! The campground is suitable for RV's and tents! If you are looking for a little something extra, there are also cabins within Oak Mountain State Park, just a short driving distance from Flip Side.

DAILY GEAR RENTALS:

Board/Ski/Tube Rental - $10
Vest Rental - $5
Helmet Rental - $5

PADDLEBOARD RENTALS (Gear Included):

One Hour - $20
Four Hours (Half Day) - $60
Eight Hours (All Day) - $90

**All participants must purchase their own cable pass and rental gear. Passes will NOT be shared/split and gear can only be shared by multiple riders if you are providing your own gear.
